Peace is the Death of War – R. Lee Wrights

BURNET, Texas (May 26, 2012) – When I began my quest for the Libertarian presidential nomination, my staff and I were committed to making the campaign about more than just winning the nomination. We determined that whoever was the nominee, the message of the Libertarian Party in 2012 would be “Stop All War,” and that message would be heard in all 50 states. To that end, we pledged 10 percent of all donations to insure ballot access, and began The Million Vote March project to achieve a historic first for the Libertarian Party.

As I have said from the beginning, this is not about Lee Wrights. It’s about the Libertarian Party and the libertarian message of peace, prosperity and progress. While the campaign for the nomination is over, the campaign to Stop All War, to gain 50-state ballot access, and to win one million votes for the Libertarian candidate for president continues. It must continue. Not only because it’s what my staff and I have pledged to do, but because it’s right for the Libertarian Party and it’s right for America.

RLC & #NeverTrump Leaders Found Republicans For Johnson/Weld SuperPAC

The Republican Party is cracking. It has been for some time now. Although the party leadership had hoped that the convention would bring the various sects back together the opposite has happened. The GOP is more divided than ever before and every word out of Donald Trump’s mouth continues to make that worse. There is a significant plurality of both moderate establishment Republicans and libertarian conservatives that are breaking away. This split was made more public recently when Republican Liberty Caucus and #NeverTrump movement leaders started the Republicans for Johnson/Weld SuperPAC.

New “AlternativePAC” to Launch Supporting Johnson/Weld from Grassroots Free-Market Advocate Matt Kibbe – Brian Doherty

Matt Kibbe, a longtime grassroots activist in the small government field as chieftain of FreedomWorks from 2004-15 and more recently a Rand Paul supporter via the SuperPAC Concerned American Voters, will be launching a new SuperPAC to promote the Libertarian Party candidacy of Gary Johnson and William Weld, to be called “AlternativePAC.”

“I have been talking to donors for several weeks as the reality of a Trump vs. Clinton ticket really sunk in. There is real interest in the Libertarian ticket, and Gary Johnson has an historic opportunity,” Kibbe said in an exclusive email this morning.

Ads About Killing Politics, Tools to Make it Work Better: The McAfee Campaign’s Nuts and Bolts – Brian Doherty

On some level antivirus software pioneer John McAfee seems to think he can energize his campaign for the presidential nomination of the Libertarian Party purely on the abundant sparking octane of his own outsized legend and wild pronouncements.

But that isn’t all to his campaign. His vice presidential pick Judd Weiss, and his campaign manager Tiffany Madison (along with a dedicated army of volunteers, Madison stresses), have launched an interestingly strange and attention getting set of campaign ad videos (Weiss) and started building an internet resource for the Libertarian Party that, if it comes to fruition and sticks around, should make the Party a better fit for the modern communication age.

Weiss’s fourth and latest video (all of them using the McAfee/Weiss slogan “Let Life Live”) is over five minutes long, a length he’s quite aware most normal political consultants would call crazy. It’s called “Exit Politics”.
